Who Will Join The Roots for Philly's July 4th Celebration?

Which acts will rock the Ben Franklin Parkway this Independence Day?

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter joined other dignitaries to reveal the lineup for the Wawa Welcome America! concert Tuesday morning.

Philadelphiaโ€™s own The Roots will once again serve as house band for the event that has drawn groups including Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Ne-Yo to the July 4th celebration that culminates in fireworks.

This year, country singer Jennifer Nettles and R&B singer Miguel will headline the free public concert.

The concert is a culmination of a week-plus of events including movie screenings, free museum admissions and history lessons.

โ€œFor Wawa Welcome America! 2015, our biggest goal is to provide our guests with the best possible experience throughout all eight days of the festival,โ€ said City Representative Desiree Peterkin-Bell, the Executive Director of Welcome America, Inc. โ€œWe have some terrific events leading up to the Fourth of July, and the performers secured for the Philly 4th of July Jam will serve as the perfect ending to our celebrations.โ€
