Philadelphia police from the 15th District investigate the report of vandalism at the Mount Carmel cemetery, where hundreds of Philadelphia's early Jewish residents are buried. Many of the graves indicate people from the city's Jewish families at the turn of the 20th century through World Wars I and II. Vandals reportedly toppled or damaged as many as 100 gravestones, snapping some of them -- like these engraved marble stones of two people whose last name is Singer -- off at the base.
