UPS Truck Bursts Into Flames Along Bucks County Construction Zone

A UPS truck burst into flames early Wednesday leaving a Bucks County road closed as crews worked to clear the mess.

The tractor-trailer slammed into a barrier in a construction zone along York Road near Sugar Bottom Road in Furlong, Pennsylvania around 2:30 a.m., said police on the scene.

After impact, the cab of the big rig caught fire leaving the cab destroyed.

The driver managed to escape from the burning cab, said police. He was rushed to Doylestown Hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

Police said the roadway was opened again before noon Wednesday.
