Note to Self: Don't Call 911 Just Yet…

Upper Darby couple busted after calling for help.

A word of advice:  If you have something to hide, you may want to think twice before calling police.

A couple in Upper Darby were arrested after they called police to say someone was burglarizing their home.

42 yr old Edward Hatton was arrested Friday along with his wife 52-year-old Debra.

Police say the couple interrupted a burglary in their Maplewood Avenue home Friday afternoon.

Police say Debra called to report the crime. As the home was being examined by police, they say they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the basement.

Police searched the home and say they found a large amount of pot. Investigators say the Hattons were growing and selling marijuana.

Investigators say they also found a number of badges for various police departments including Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Along with the pot and badges, police seized a fully-loaded AK-47, knives other guns and German military medals.
