A Ukrainian teenager died from her injuries after she was struck by a car while riding her bike in Delaware.
Nadiia Misa, 19, of the Ukraine, was riding her bike across Delaware Rt. 1 (Coastal Highway) in Rehoboth Beach around 8:50 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Miller Road. As she crossed she was struck by a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire which was traveling in the center lane.
The collision threw Misa off her bike into the left lane of the road. The driver of the Crossfire stopped and remained at the scene.
Misa was taken to the Beebe Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the accident.
