Two Dead in Thanksgiving Head-on Crash in Camden County

A 23-year-old driver from Berlin, New Jersey, and a teenage passenger died when their car drifted into oncoming traffic on a Camden County road early Thursday and struck another car head-on, police said.

Joel Hutton, of Andrea Drive, died at the scene of the crash on Williamstown Road in Sicklerville, police said. One of two passengers in the car he was driving, Janiyah Conquest, 19, of Villa Knoll Court, Sicklerville, was ejected from the car and also died at the scene, police said.

The other passenger, Jillian Farrell, also 19, of Woodland Drive, Williamstown, was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden.

The crash occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. when Hutton's car traveling west on Williamstown Road crossed the yellow center line and struck a car. After the initial collision, Hutton's car continued off the road and overturned, according to police.

Police did not immediately give a cause in the crash.
