Delaware state police say a New Jersey man is in jail after they found nearly 1,500 bags of heroin in the car he was riding in.
The News Journal of Wilmington reports that the man was a passenger in a Cadillac SUV that police pulled over on Saturday.
Police say the vehicle was driving above the speed limit on I-95, and police smelled marijuana when they approached the Cadillac. Police say they found the bags of heroin along with nearly $8,000 in cash under a floor board.
Police say they arrested 32-year-old Jamal Wade and charged him with heroin possession. Police did not release the name of a 27-year-old woman who was driving. They say she was cited for speeding, driving without a license and marijuana possession.
