Purse-Snatchers Drag Chester County Woman Through Store Parking Lot: Police

Two robbery suspects took a woman's purse then dragged her through a shopping center parking lot then tried using her credit cards for whitening strips and razors, police said.

The suspects pulled their car up to a woman on her way to her car after shopping at the TJ Maxx at the Gateway Shopping Center on E Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania around 8:15 p.m. Thursday. Once close, they pulled her bag, and when she tried to refuse, they dragged her for a while, according to Police.

The victim suffered injuries to her face and body, said police.

The car was last seen exiting the complex near the Mobil gas station, said investigators.

The woman's credit cards were then used at Malvern Target and Wegmans store in an attempt to buy Crest White Strips and razor blades, said police. The cards were also used about 90 minutes later at a Lancaster County Turkey Hill store.

Police surveillance footage revealed images of the vehicle -- an older model, blue or turquoise car with a gray bumper and loud exhaust -- used in the robbery as well as one of the suspects --a 6-foot-tall man in his late teens to early 20s with a light beard and mustache that wore a gray "CALI" T-shirt, blue baseball cap with three stars on it, black sweatpants and white sneakers, said police.

Police described the other suspect as a male in his teens or early 20s with blond hair and a thin mustache.
