T-Storms Possible Before Sunny Weekend

Meteorologist Bill Henley with the latest weekend forecast

Expect possible storms as temperatures push into 80s Friday before cooling off and clearing for the busy first weekend of May.

There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms late Friday afternoon and evening as temps near 80.

Before that, expect areas of dense fog Friday morning to ease. The fog should disappear completely Friday morning and clouds should break heading into Friday afternoon.

Expect summer-like temps Friday afternoon -- possibly into the low to mid 80s. Timing looks to place possible thunderstorms in the area between 5 and 10 p.m.  After about 11 p.m., thunderstorm activity doesn’t appear to be as supported.

It is possible for the chance of showers overnight.

Expect lots of sun, low humidity and light winds this weekend.

Skies should clear Saturday morning. Expect a really nice day with highs in the mid- to upper-70s but it's possible a shower or two could spring up.

Then on Sunday -- Broad Street Run day -- expect a sunny and nice day with highs in the low 70s.
