Burglars staged a daring daylight robbery Thursday in the Wissinoming section of the city and made off with thousands in cash and jewelry.
It happened inside a home on Jackson Street.
The homeowner tells NBC10 she was out celebrating a family birthday. She returned to find her home ransacked. She didn't want to be identified, but told us ""I feel so violated."
The crooks got away with 65-thousand dollars in cash and jewelry. The homeowner says she recently sold a bar in North Philadelphia and kept money from the sale in her house.
"We were looking to invest in a grocery store" she said.
Surveillance cameras were rolling, but the thieves also made off with the footage.
Police believe they used a ladder to climb through a window. They are investigating, but say they have very little to go on.
