Pennsylvania Cracker Barrel Robber Gets 15 Years for ‘Act of Desperation'

A Harrisburg man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection with a gunpoint robbery his wife called an "act of desperation."

PennLive reports George Stoney apologized Thursday for what he said was stupidity that led him and two other masked ex-cons to rob a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Nathaniel Mosley was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Torey Dobbin was sentenced to 17 years.

The 40-year-old Stoney pleaded guilty in October to armed robbery and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

Prosecutors say Stoney, Mosley and Dobbin led police on a brief foot chase after they robbed the Susquehanna Township restaurant near closing time on Dec. 3, 2013.

Police recovered more than $8,000 in cash, three firearms, wallets, purses and cellphones.
