‘Adventure’ Awaits: Things to Do in and Around Philly This Weekend: March 8-10

What: Philadelphia Flower Show

This year’s theme at the world’s largest indoor flower show is Flower Power. Come enjoy the colors and scents of spring at the annual Flower Show.

Where: Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia

When: through Sunday

What: Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show

Plan out that dream vacation or learn more about an adventure that could be just a drive away at the annual Travel and Adventure Show.

Where: Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia

When: Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost: $11 for adults, children 16 and under are free

What: East Passyunk Restaurant Week

More than 20 restaurants will participate in the fixed price, three course dinners.

Where: Various locations along Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia

When: through Friday

Cost: $15, $25 or $35 depending on restaurant

What: Wildwoods, NJ Spirit Brands National Cheerleading Championship

Check at the choreographed performances and watch the winning teams be awarded prizes.

Where: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ

When: Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost:  Fee at the door

What: Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Wear your green and watch the marching bands, decorated floats and dance groups parade through Center City.

Where: JFK Blvd and Market Street, Philadelphia

When: Sunday, from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost:  Free

What: Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens

Stroll through the indoor gardens and witness the beauty of the rarest of flowers.

Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, Pa.
