Teen Girl Finds Pin in Halloween Candy While Trick-or-Treating in Lehigh County

For the second time over the weekend, a Pennsylvania teenager reported a dangerous item discovered inside Halloween candy.

A teenage girl found a pin inside a candy bar she received while trick-or-treating in Lower Macungie Township, according to police.

The girl was trick-or-treating on the 7400 block of Catalpa Drive in the Ancient Oaks section of the township, police said. Police received the report Sunday. Investigators have not revealed the type of pin the girl found.

Investigators also have not yet revealed the girl’s age to NBC10 though the Morning Call reports she is 14-years-old. She was not hurt during the incident.

Police are urging anyone in the area who found anything suspicious in their Halloween candy to call 610-395-1438.

On Friday, a 13-year-old boy found a razor blade inside a “fun-sized” candy while he was trick-or-treating in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County. The boy was not hurt during the incident.
