Authorities say a teenage boy suffered serious leg and chest injuries when he fell on some railroad tracks behind a South Jersey post office.
Lakehurst police tell the Asbury Park Press that the accident happened Saturday night, though it was not immediately clear why the teen was on or near the tracks. His name was not disclosed.
A relative of the teen helped police find him along the tracks about 9:45 p.m. The injured boy was flown to a hospital, where he was being treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
