NJ Principal Accused of Stealing More Than $10K From School Fundraisers

A suspended Atlantic City school principal is accused of stealing more than $10,000 meant for fundraising accounts.

Prosecutors say 41-year-old Lakecia Hyman was charged Wednesday with official misconduct and theft. Investigators say the Uptown School Complex principal kept more than $10,000 in cash and checks.

The Egg Harbor Township woman has been suspended with pay since February 2014.

She's due in court on June 17.
