Police say a fleeing robbery suspect hit a police car and several other vehicles during a chase in Pittsburgh's Hill District.
Officers arrested 44-year-old Derrick Ingram on Thursday after they say he left his vehicle and led them on a short foot pursuit.
The Homestead man is charged with retail theft, fleeing to avoid apprehension, aggravated assault, hit and run and other offenses.
Police say he had a suspended license and a warrant in California.
Ingram is jailed in lieu of $75,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 23. Online court records didn't list a lawyer to comment on the charges.
Police say Ingram fled after he and another person stole merchandise from a Family Dollar around 1 p.m.
They say they're trying to determine the other suspect's identity.
