Suspect in Store Owner's Murder in Custody

Philadelphia Police say Eric Locke, 32, a suspect in the murder of a North Philadelphia check cashing store owner, turned himself into police Thursday night.

A suspect in the murder of a North Philadelphia check cashing store owner is in custody, according to Philadelphia Police.

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday afternoon for 32-year-old Eric Locke.

Police say he turned himself in Thursday night.

Fifty-three-year-old Joel Blumer, the owner of B & R Check Cashing store on 26th and Sterner Streets in North Philadelphia, was killed Saturday while he was preparing to open up the store for the day.

Blumer, of Southampton, was shot twice in the neck, police said.

Police say Locke lives near the store.
