A man told police he carried multiple weapons -- including several BB guns and a large meat cleaver knife -- onto a SEPTA train Monday for self-protection.
A woman was riding the Broad Street Line around 10 p.m. when she noticed the suspect toting what appeared to be a real gun and called 911.
The Transit Police immediately began reviewing security footage, spotting the armed man exiting the train in Center City, according to SEPTA.
When authorities stopped the suspect, they found him carrying four BB guns and three knives, according to reports.
Three of the four BB guns appeared real, officials said.
