Ex-Girlfriend Missing in Levittown Abduction

Suspect allegedly hit victim with pipe & threatened to kill her

Police dogs were out Monday night searching for a Bucks County woman who was allegedly beaten and abducted in a brutal attack Sunday morning. The dogs were searching a park near the Levittown apartment where she was attacked.

"We're still hoping that she's alive," said Lt. Henry Ward.

Police arrested her ex-boyfriend, Kenneth Lamon Patterson, late Sunday, and said he is not cooperating in the investigation.

Patterson, 48, is accused of kicking his way into Corado's apartment around 5:30 a.m. at the Village of Pennbrook Apartments on Mill Creed Road. She was there with a female friend, according to police. Patterson hit Corado with a pipe, threatened her with a knife and then forced both women inside Corado's Pontiac Aztek.

"The smallest bit of information -- it may seem trivial to you -- but it may mean everything to us," Falls Township Lt. Henry Ward said.

Patterson let Corado's friend go, police say. She told them Patterson had threatened to kill Corado, 57, and then himself. He also implied that he had a gun, police said.

Patterson was arrested at the Clover Motel on Route 73 North in Camden Sunday night after police got a tip call.

Corado’s son pleaded Sunday for his mother’s safe return.

“Mom, if you're there, just stay strong," Scott Melnick said. My fiancé and I are planning a wedding in the near future. We’d like her home safe and sound so we can have a nice Christmas together.”
