Suspect Arrested in Center City Bank Robbery

The suspect allegedly threatened a teller with a bomb but investigators later discovered it was a water bottle

Police arrested a 32-year-old man who allegedly robbed a Center City bank and left behind a hoax bomb.

Investigators say Paul Raffa approached the counter of the PNC Bank at 1111 Market Street on Thursday with a note attached to a bag indicating a bomb was inside and demanded money.

Police later discovered the bag contained a water bottle.

Raffa fled the scene with over $3,000 in cash.
