Cops: Targeted Pa. family has car stolen, returned
A Pennsylvania family who claims they've been targeted by people who break into their home and steal things is now reporting that their car was stolen by a woman who crashed it then returned it moments later.
Judy Faidley tells WJAC-TV that Wednesday's car theft was captured on a neighbor's surveillance camera. The video has been turned over to the station and the state police in Somerset. Troopers there are reviewing the video and asking for tipsters to call in with information.
Faidley lives in Wilbur, a tiny village in Shade Township, Somerset County, about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
She says her family has been blocking their doors because of recent break-ins by people who steal and destroy their property.
"My basement door has a locked hatch,” said Faidley told WJAC. “They broke that and got in. My mom replaced it last night so they couldn't get in and we blocked all of our doors by chairs."
