The Asbury Park Historical Society bought the property in October. It has since seen interior and exterior upgrades, including to its relatively untouched parlor, which has been completely replastered and will feature a 19th-century style wallpaper.
The Victorian home also received fresh paint, roof repairs and electrical upgrades.
The historical society says the house will be refurbished and decorated after renovations are finished. It's expected to reopen later this month.
