Police are searching for a woman accused of attacking another woman outside a Center City Starbucks and throwing hot coffee at her face.
Police say the suspect and a 54-year-old woman were involved in an altercation inside the Starbucks on the 1600 block of Arch Street Monday at 9:15 a.m.
During the incident, the suspect threw a coffee stirrer at the 54-year-old woman, according to investigators. Police say the two women then went outside the Starbucks and got into another altercation which was captured on surveillance video.
The suspect threw a cup of coffee in the 54-year-old woman’s face, police said. She then punched her in the face and body, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground where she continued to punch her, a witness told police. The witness then separated the two women and the suspect left the area, according to investigators. The 54-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after the incident.
The suspect is described as a woman in her mid-40s standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing pink pants and carrying a pink bag.
