A woman is recovering after she was rescued by responding firefighters and police from a South Philadelphia house fire.
The fire started at a home on the 2400 block of South Franklin Street shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. NBC10 was there as firefighters and police used a construction ladder to climb up and rescue a woman from the house.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Officials say she is expected to make a full recovery.
Crews were able to place the fire under control. Officials continue to investigate the cause.
