200 Jobs Lost in South Jersey in Home Care Provider Office Closings

Two Interim Healthcare franchise offices in New Jersey are closing next month, which will result in 200 layoffs.

The offices that are closing Jan. 24 are in Voorhees and Hamilton, according to a WARN [Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act] filing with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare Inc. of Sunrise, Florida, bills itself as the nation’s oldest health care franchise company.

The company has more than 300 independently owned franchise locations in 43 states that provide nursing, therapy and non-medical home care, hospice and health care staffing services. Interim Healthcare’s independent franchisees employ 40,000 health care workers that serve about 50,000 people annually.
