A Montgomery County man was arrested and charged for the murder of his father while his son was charged with helping him dispose of his grandfather's body.

On June 27, around 10:30 a.m., crews clearing brush in Gibson Township found the body of 88-year-old Jack St. Onge wrapped in a tarp in a wooded area along Route 2036.
On Monday, the Susquehanna County Coroner's Office performed an autopsy where they were able to confirm his identity through his pacemaker. St. Onge's death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities announced a joint investigation by state and local police and prosecutors in both Montgomery and Susquehanna counties. Their investigation led to the arrest of the victim's son David St. Onge, Sr. as well as the victim's grandson, David St. Onge Jr.
Onge, Sr. allegedly admitted to striking his father in the head and then conspiring with his son Onge, Jr. to dispose of the body. Onge, Sr. also allegedly stole items from his father and sold them for profit.
Onge, Sr. is charged with third-degree murder and other related offenses. Additional charges will be filed after the coroner determines the exact cause of death.
