Soccer Team Scores Naming Rights Partner for Training Complex

The Philadelphia Union found a naming rights partnership for the soccer club’s training complex close to home.

Both the Union and its new naming rights partner, Power Home Remolding, are based in Chester, Pa., at the Wharf Building along the Delaware River waterfront.

Financial terms of the multiple-year deal were not disclosed.

The training complex consists of two regulation sized training fields and a new 16,500-square foot indoor facility next to the club’s Talen Energy Stadium in Chester. The site will be known as the Power Training Complex.

The indoor facility features a weight training area, physical therapy and sports science development area, nutrition center, locker rooms, a video theater and a players’ lounge. The Power Training Complex also includes the offices for Philadelphia Union coaches and support staff in the Wharf Building that once housed an electric power plant. The training facility across a parking lot from the Wharf Building occupies a structure originally built in the 1920s to serve as a machine shop to support the power plant.
