Tracking Afternoon Snow Showers

Some quick-moving snow showers could impact your Friday afternoon.

With temps in the upper 30s, the scattered snow isn’t expected to stick much in Philadelphia and the immediate suburbs.

The frontal boundary moved through Pennsylvania and arrived in the Philadelphia region by early afternoon.

"We will get a few robust snow squalls as the front passes," NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Erika Martin said.

No more than a dusting to an inch of snow is expected in Berks County, the Lehigh Valley and Poconos, the National Weather Service said.

Once the system moves through expect cold weather to stick around this weekend with highs likely not getting out of the 30s under mostly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday.

"Temperatures will be the coldest we’ve seen in weeks," Erika said. "High temperatures for Saturday only reaching 30s and overnight lows will be in the teens. As for windchill values, get ready for a night with feels like temps in the single digits."
