Single Mom Arrested in Bomb Threat Bank Heist Heads to Court

The case against single mother who police say tried to rob $40,000 from a Pennsylvania bank by claiming to have a bomb in her car at a drive-thru teller window is headed for court.

KDKA-TV reported Thursday that 33-year-old Brandy Greulich apologized and said the court proceedings were "embarrassing" and a "waste of everybody's time and money."

Police say Greulich pulled up to a PNC Bank in Bellevue last month and handed the teller a note claiming she had a bomb in the car and was forced to rob the bank by others who were supposedly watching. Authorities say the bomb threat was a hoax.

On Thursday, she urged people thinking of "doing anything like this" to consider "better alternatives."

Greulich's attorney couldn't immediately be reached.
