A woman died from her injuries after she was struck by a SEPTA bus last week.
Elizabeth O’Malley, 76, as well as a 50-year-old woman were walking in the eastbound crosswalk at Germantown Avenue and Gravers Lane around 4:20 p.m. Thursday when they were struck by a SEPTA bus that had turned left onto Gravers. Police say the front left tire of the bus hit both women.
O’Malley suffered bleeding on the brain and broken ribs. She was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was in critical condition. She later died from her injuries Saturday at 5:05 p.m.
The 50-year-old woman suffered injuries to her left hand and left knee. She was also taken to Albert Einstein Medical and is currently stable.
The bus driver remained at the scene. Police continue to investigate the accident.
