Five people have admitted their roles in scams that authorities say cost a suburban Philadelphia school system more than $1 million.
The Bucks County Courier Times reports the guilty pleas were entered this week in the case involving the Bensalem schools.
Authorities alleged in February that 20 district employees and local businessmen participated in a theft-ring or no-show job scam.
Authorities charged some workers with stealing car parts from the district's garage, reselling them to businesses and pocketing the money.
They also alleged four grounds crew employees collected salaries without showing up for work.
Some who pleaded guilty must now pay restitution and perform community service in the district. Two are serving house arrest.
The remaining 15 defendants have court dates in the coming weeks.
