Scared Deer Caught in Rip Current After Running into Ocean

Three spooked deer ran into the ocean at a New Jersey beach and one got caught in a rip current.

Adam Holloway and a friend were headed to Manasquan beach to catch bluefish when they saw the trio on Monday.

Holloway tells the Asbury Park Press two of the deer turned back and paddled back to the beach. But the third was pulled away by the current that runs near the jetty.

Holloway says he ran along the jetty trying to turn the deer around, but the animal climbed up on the rocks. Holloway says the deer ran at him before jumping back into the ocean.

The deer paddled ashore and headed off down the beach.
