Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed next week due to five confirmed cases of whooping cough.
Officials say the first case was confirmed at Salisbury High School on Dec. 10. Four more cases of the highly-contagious respiratory disease were confirmed within the school district over the past week.
High school students are being tested. All schools in the Salisbury Township School District will also be closed Dec. 21 through Dec. 23. Classes will resume as scheduled on January 4, officials said. Aside from the high school, Salisbury Middle School, Harry S.
