Robbers Target McDonald's, 7-11: Cops

Police are searching for three men who allegedly robbed three 7-11 stores and two McDonald's restaurants in Darby and Southwest Philadelphia.

Police are searching for three men wanted for multiple robberies in both Southwest Philadelphia and Darby, Pennsylvania.

The first robbery happened Thursday around 2 a.m. in Darby. Police say either two or three men robbed the 7-11 on 731 Main Street of cash and cigarettes.

Police then say the men moved into Philadelphia. At 2:28 a.m., police say a man approached the drive-thru window on foot of the McDonald’s on Woodland Avenue. The man allegedly pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money. Police say he then took $58 in cash before fleeing the scene.

At 3:35 a.m., police say a man approached the drive-thru window on foot of the McDonald’s restaurant on Vine Street and pointed a gun at the employee demanding money. Police say the employee ran from the drive-thru while the suspect fled in an unknown direction without taking any money.

At 4:03 a.m., police say two men entered the 7-11 on Lebanon Avenue. One man allegedly approached the employee with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The two men then took $130 in cash from the registers and 100 packs of cigarettes, according to investigators. Police say the men then fled on foot through the parking lot towards 64th Street on Lebanon.

Finally, at 5:12 a.m., police say two men entered the 7-11 on South 58th Street. The men allegedly forced the employees to open their registers and stole $200 in cash as well as numerous packs of cigarettes and lottery scratch off tickets. Police believe the men then went into an unknown vehicle parked across the street and fled the scene.

The first suspect is described as a black male of medium complexion between 20 and 25 years of age. Police believe he stands between 5-foot-9 and 6-feet and weighs 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a Grey hoody with the words “Texas” across the chest in either orange or red letters as well as Grey or light-colored pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male with dark complexion standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 and weighing 240 pounds. Police say he was last seen wearing a blue hoody with white drawstrings, tan pants and a black ski mask.

The third suspect is described as a black male of dark complexion standing 5-foot-11. He was last seen wearing a black and white striped hooded sweatshirt and tan cargo pants. If you have any information on the suspects or robberies, please call the Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183.
