Man Sentenced for Robbing Same Banks Twice

A man who admitted he robbed two banks months after he was released from prison for robberies at the same banks five years earlier is headed back to prison.

Federal prosecutors say 54-year-old Keith Ney was sentenced Friday in Camden, New Jersey, to nearly six years for the 2015 robberies at Citizens Bank branch in Philadelphia and Cape Bank in Atlantic City. He also must serve a two-year sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release for the robberies at the same banks in 2010.

Ney was convicted of the 2010 robberies and pleaded guilty to the 2015 robberies, when prosecutors say he robbed the Philadelphia bank after handing a teller a note saying he had a gun then took a bus to Atlantic City and robbed that bank.
