Daughter of Slain NJ Radio Host Seeks Answers

The daughter of a popular New Jersey radio host who was fatally shot inside her home four years ago is seeking new information in the case.

No arrests have been made in the May 10, 2012, slaying of April Kauffman. The Linwood woman was found dead inside her bedroom, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

Kimberly Pack's attorneys have filed a motion pushing for more information about the investigation to be released.

Pack is in a legal battle with her stepfather, Dr. James Kauffman, sparked by his attempts to claim April Kauffman's two life insurance policies.

The company had turned down his claim because the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office couldn't provide a letter saying he wasn't considered a suspect in April Kauffman's killing.

Pack was introduced as a possibly interested third party after Kauffman filed a suit against Transamerica Life Insurance Co. in federal court.

The company left the case when Pack joined, putting control of the money in the court's hands.

Pack's attorney then filed a document alleging that James Kauffman is responsible for April Kauffman's death.

Kauffman has denied involvement. A trial is pending.
