QVC filed a WARN notice with the state of Pennsylvania reporting it would lay off 147 employees by November 2015.
The employees work in a small distribution center in Chester County.
QVC spokeswoman Dianne Zappas told the Daily Local News that the workers were notified of this development in March, as the center is no longer operating efficiently.
QVC has moved much of the work handled by this distribution center to Florence, S.C. However, some of the workers were offered the opportunity to transfer to one of QVC's distribution centers in Lancaster County. Learn more about the retail company on PBJ.com
