Fire Destroys Quakertown Police Vehicles

Officials are investigating a fire that destroyed several Quakertown Police vehicles.

The fire started around 6 p.m. Saturday in a Quakertown Police Department storage building on North 3rd Street. Responding firefighters were able to bring the flames under control.

While no one was hurt, the fire destroyed a Quakertown Police motorcycle, special operations vehicle, police bicycles and other police equipment, according to Quakertown Police Chief Scott McElree.

McElree says preliminary findings don’t indicate anything suspicious. The Bucks County Fire Marshall’s Office is currently investigating.
