Police Find Weapons, Chemicals at Bucks County Home

Pennsylvania State Police and the Bomb Squad were first called to a home on the 8700 block of Easton Road in Ottsville for a report of a possible explosives.

An investigation is underway after police found weapons and chemicals at a Bucks County home Tuesday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived at a home on the 8700 block of Easton Road in Ottsville around noon to serve a mental health warrant to the 70-year-old homeowner, investigators said. The responding officers then found several guns and rifles inside the home as well as bomb-making materials and chemical explosives inside.

No injuries were reported. Police have not yet revealed whether anyone was inside the home when they arrived.

Drew Pacell, who lives down the street from the house under investigation, told NBC10 he was in disbelief when he heard the news.

"The chemical explosives is the one that threw me off," he said. "Should we be worried from this distance? It's odd to see that something like this was happening right in this small town."

Officials have not yet revealed whether the homeowner will be charged.
