Law enforcement officials are staying at the scene while they conduct the investigation into what happened, but say that there isn't a threat to the community.

NBC10 crews at the scene saw a large police presence with the street blocked off with yellow caution tape.

Neighbors along Redfield Road said that it's typically very quiet on their street, so it was strange to see their street glowing with red and blue police lights for hours.

The police perimeter was set up right outside of Robert Skulsky's home. He spent the evening talking to detectives.

"Nothing like this has ever happened before. So very unusual," Skulsky said. "I’m just glad it wasn’t last Saturday. I had my whole family, we were doing an early Easter. Last Saturday at this time, we were all in the front yard."

Skulsky explained that the person who was hurt in the incident on Saturday was seen driving a van. Skulsky wasn't home when it all happened, but his Ring doorbell camera caught of it.

"From what I understand, the van came around the corner, lost control, hit the curb, hit the pick-up truck that was in my front yard, got pushed up against a tree," he said. "The guy came out. Apparently, he was incoherent. He was saying things, but they really couldn’t tell what he was saying. He was wielding a chain and then he chased my neighbor across the street into his house."

Skulsky also told NBC10 that responding officers tasered the man, but the taser didn't do anything. According to Skulsky, the man allegedly went after the officers with a type of cutting blade which was when one of the police officers shot at him.

All officer-involved shootings in Bucks County are investigated by county detectives and reviewed by the District Attorney's Office.
