Police shot a suspect in North Philadelphia Friday night, authorities say.
The man police shot was armed with a gun, though the reason police were pursuing him is not yet known.
The suspect was transported to Temple Hospital at about 9:15 p.m.
The shooting occurred at 16th and Dauphin streets, police say.
