Philadelphia Police got a call early Monday about a large fight happening on the 400 block of East Wyoming Avenue in the Feltonville section of the city.
When they arrived, officers say they saw a man stabbing another man with a knife. When they ordered him to drop the knife, investigators say the man ran towards those officers.
Police say one of those officers shot the man in the chest. The man, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 33-year-old victim in the stabbing was taken to Einstein Hospital.
