Police Seek Mother of Dead Newborn Found at New Jersey Dump

State Police are still trying to find the mother of a dead newborn that was found in the trash at a garbage dump in New Jersey.

The body of the baby girl was found by an employee at recycling center in Farmingdale on Nov. 11. It's believed the baby was born the day before.

An autopsy has not determined the cause of death.

State Police say two blood-stained blouses and a shopping bag from Orange found in the trash are believed to be tied to the mother.

Investigators are asking for help identifying any women who were pregnant last week, but no longer appear to be pregnant and do not have a baby.

State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes says don't assume a child was adopted or miscarried.
