Women in Purple Swipe $17,000 From New Jersey Restaurant In Broad Daylight: Police

Police need help identifying five women who pulled off a heist at an Atlantic County Chinese restaurant last week.

Surveillnace video captured images of the suspects, all wearing purple outfits who robbed the Krystal Vy Restaurant off of Black Horse Pike in Folsom.

Several of the suspects distracted the restaurant owner also named Krystal Vy with an elaborate take-out order and one suspect went behind the counter and grabbed Vy's purse, according to New Jersey State Police.

Investigators said it appeared the women worked as a team to snatch the $17,000 cash on Saturday around 2:45 p.m.

Vy said it was money that was supposed to buy three months of food.

Surveillance video also shows the women driving off in a newer tan Toyota Sienna minivan. The van could have a temporary license plate.

Police released photos of the suspects and said the same group attempted similar heists at other locations.

Krystal Vy is now offering a $1000  reward to anyone who helps catch the women. If you recognize any of them you are asked to call the Buena Vista Station at (609) 561-1800.
