Police Pose as Prostitutes, Arrest 7

Police arrested seven people in a prostitution bust in Atlantic City.

Friday night into Saturday morning, officers from Atlantic City, Absecon and Galloway Township conducted an undercover operation targeting “Johns” or men who solicit sex from female prostitutes for money.

During the sting, undercover female officers posed as prostitutes and ultimately arrested four Johns identified as:

  • Eric Wiggins, 43, of Galloway, NJ
  • Timothy Pettie, 28, of Pleasantville, NJ
  • Jonathan Bordley, 30, Pleasantville, NJ
  • Sherman Green, 36, Atlantic City, NJ

Police say Wiggins, Pettie and Bordley were all charged with engaging in prostitution. Wiggins was also charged with possession of imitation controlled dangerous substances.

Police also say Green did not solicit any of the undercover officers but did offer them drugs. He was charged with possession of crack cocaine.

During the bust, police also arrested an alleged pimp and two prostitutes. Police say Toni Krampen, 23, and Sheron Singletary, 23, both of Buffalo, New York, approached the undercover officers. The women allegedly tried to recruit them to work for their pimp, identified as Michael McDonald, 34, of Buffalo.

All three were arrested and charged with promoting prostitution and conspiracy. They were placed on warrants with $10,000 bail, according to police.
