Authorities identified the woman who was found dead in a shallow grave in a yard in Philadelphia's Frankford section earlier this week.
Police said 39-year-old Kelly Hepft, of the 8300 block of Frankford Avenue, was stabbed to death, wrapped in black plastic bags and then buried in a backyard on the 4700 block of Frankford Avenue.
The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be multiple stab wounds to the head, neck and chest, police said.
The property's super spotted the body and flagged down 15th District officers, who saw a human foot sticking out from the soil, according to investigators.
A man, who was standing near the grave when officers arrived, took off running when they questioned him, sources told NBC10. Police used a taser to subdue the man, according to witnesses.
The man was taken to the hospital, however no charges related to the homicide have been filed.
One witness recorded the arrest and posted video of the incident on Instagram. Neighbors told NBC10 the man is the boyfriend of the woman who was found dead.
