Police Identify Suspect in Northeast Philadelphia School Book Sale Theft

An alleged thief who burglarized a Northeast Philadelphia church to steal money from a school book sale last month remains at large, and police on Tuesday identified a suspect.

Police say they're looking for 29-year-old Sarah Higgins, of Bristol. Higgins is believed to be the woman captured on surveillance video sneaking into St. Martha Church, on Academy Road in Modena Park, just before 8 p.m. Feb. 2 and stealing an undetermined about of cash from school book sales.

Police said Higgins' last known address is on the 200 block of Lafayette Street in Bristol and that she's known to frequent Bristol Township, Northeast Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr. She's described as being 5 feet 1 and 125 pounds with dark brown shoulder-length hair.

An arrest warrant for Higgins has been issued, police said.
