Gunfire claimed the life of a man in South Jersey.
The shooting took place near Seagrass Cove apartment complex in Pleasantville, Atlantic County on Thursday evening.
When officers arrived around 8:30 p.m. they found 21-year-old Bilal Salaam suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The Galloway Township man died a short time later.
Police said there were more gunshots later in the evening that struck at least two homes on Alder Avenue.
