Three Teens Hurt When Drive-by Shooter Fires on Assistant Police Chief's Porch

Three teenagers were on an assistant police chief's porch when they were injured — one critically — in a drive-by shooting in Pittsburgh.

Police continued to investigate the Sunday evening shooting at the home of Assistant Chief Maurita Bryant.

Spokeswoman Sonya Toler couldn't say whether any of the victims were friends or relatives of Bryant's. That's because Toler said police don't generally release the names of juvenile victims, or information that could be used to identify them publicly.

A 16-year-old girl remained hospitalized in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds to her head and upper body. Another victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, and a third was grazed in the arm.

Police said four teens were on the porch when shots rang out from a black SUV with tinted windows about 5:50 p.m.
