Rain Moves Out, Significant Snow Melt Wednesday

Wednesday started with clouds and some rain showers, but the precipitation did not stay around long.

Fortunately, the temperatures were above freezing, so it was rain that fell and not snow.

The rain moved out of the region by about 9 a.m. Wednesday. The clouds have broken up and the sun will take over.

The temps Wednesday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. NBC10 First Alert Meteorologist Bill Henley says we will see a significant snow melt during the day Wednesday.

One area of concern is below freezing temperatures overnight Wednesday into Thursday. The below freezing temps could lead to re-freeze on some area roads. Drivers are urged to exercise caution.

The region will remain dry through the weekend.

As the weekend approaches, Saturday and Sunday will both be in the mid-40s and 50s are in the 7-day forecast!
